Handcrafted the letter I on recycled wood from the village of La Palma, El Salvador. This type of folk art was started by artist Fernando Llort in 1972 when he moved to this village from San Salvador for inspiration. He taught the villagers the techniques and the process of drawing and painting that finishes with elaborate art. Thus the La Palma folk art has been flourishing ever since. This unique art brings together the past and present with a primitive, yet modern style. Measures about 3” high. They are very popular in our store to spell names on the wall of chidren’s rooms, etc.
